Free agency

In any normal offseason, these guys would already be taken. Of course, its not a regular offseason so here are the top FA and where they will end up.

Nnadmi Asomugha, CB Raiders
Destination: Dallas

It was a mystery to everyone when Nnadmi Asomugha became a free agent this offseason. Whats not a mystery: how big of a paycheck this guy will have in 2011. If the Raiders don't re-sign him (which would be one of the dumbest things Al Davis has ever done) I see him ending up in Dallas. The Cowboys didn't really address their secondary needs in the draft, but they did pick DB Josh Thomas from Buffalo in the 5th round. Of course, I don't see that guy being a dominating force for the Cowboys. So why not bring in the second best corner in the league? I mentioned earlier that this guy will have a huge payday, well we all know Jerry Jones loves to bring super stars to his team no matter what the cost. Asomugha could make some Cowboys fans reminse about another 21 that used to play for them. More importantly, Asomugha could help Dallas reach that destination that they failed to reach last year.

Deangelo Williams, RB Panthers
Destination: Denver

"Double Trouble" could get splitten up if the Panthers decide to let Deangelo Williams test the market. He won't test the market for that long if put on it, because he is one of the most appealing RB's in free agency. We have seen new head coaches bring back some of their former players and I think Jon Fox will do the same. Denver has been looking for the next T.D. as much as they have looked for the next John Elway (now the VP of football operations in Mile High). The Broncos need to get this deal done to have some stability at the RB position and to take pressure off of whoever is playing QB in 2011.

Sidney Rice, WR Vikings
Destination: St. Louis

One of the most explosive WR in the game is now on the open market. Sidney Rice was a big part of the Vikings run to the 2010 NFC Championship game against New Orleans. If the Vikings let him go which would not be unwise considering the team might bring in Donovan McNabb, expect this guy to get a lot of interest from a lot of different teams. Teams like the Jets need help at WR, but I think they will re-sign Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes. A good fit for Rice would be St. Louis, where Sam Bradford needs some weapons. After missing out on Julio Jones in the draft, the Rams need some serious help at WR. Bradford did prove to us that he could throw to any WR, no matter how low profile but Rice would bring explosiveness to the Rams offense and help Bradford in his sophomore season. The great thing, Rice is only 25 and the Rams could continue building around him in the years to come.

Antonio Cromartie, CB Jets
Destination: Philadelphia

The reason I have two CB's on this list is because they are two of the best free agents in a market that will be very slim when the league year begins. Antonio Cromartie is a solid playmaker on defense but can't be counted on as a #1 CB. So teams who are looking to sign the veteran have to be careful and put him in the right situation, otherwise it will be a disaster. One team that lost out on the Nnadmi Asomugha sweepstakes (only a prediction) is the Eagles. Philadelphia already has Asante Samuel as their #1 CB and could use Cromartie's talents in the secondary. The Eagles selected two DB's in the draft could have a great young secondary if they sign Cromartie.
