I only wrote my previous blog yesterday, and the fucking drama it has caused is unreal. It humours me really, all these people assuming it's about them - it obviously just proves the point, that they think that of themselves? And you know my friends, being so tough and hard, they UNFOLLOW ME. They say all this over the internet, none of them could even RING ME! Cowards.
And what happened to free speech? I'm here getting abuse hurled at me on formspring and twitter, I'm getting abuse on other people's pages and I've basically just lost about 5 friends, when there's actually no proof I wrote the blog about them. It just shows I was right a few days ago, when I tweeted that I have some really shit friends. And tbh, these friends won't be missed. Yeah, I had good times with them but if they go and do this, they can hump right off.
If one person doesn't like me - they go out of their way to make my life hell and try and get other's against me. The minute I wrote this blog, they ring up the people, they assumed who it was about - and said it was about them?! Sorry, but I kind of WROTE the blog. It all came from MY head.
I'll end this on the note, that I don't give one fuck what people think of it. If you agree - great, if you don't - your opinion.. just abuse me over my opinion? Fucking sad. And keep in mind I'm getting twice as more POSITIVE feedback compared to NEGATIVE, so if you're going to slag me, I'll forget about it once you say it. You're just wasting your time.
To those of you who read my blog, and accept I have the freedom of speech, thanks for reading! :)

I, myself have been an avid reader since a young age. As a child I was always either drawing, reading books or dressing up. I loved reading.
I grew up on Enid Blyton books, due to my Dad, Aunty and Uncle all growing up themselves with her books, so they were always around my Nana's house. Her stories captured my imagination and I would be unable to put a book down after starting it. I have 3 favourite books of all time and one of them is an Enid Blyton classic; 'The Faraway Tree'. I've never read a book so much in my life, I have the omnibus edition from when I was a child and the spine is in bits from reading it over and over. The tales of The Faraway Tree completely captured my mind, I would read the books, a thick book I might add, over and over.
As I grew up I started to read the Goosebumps collection, I developed a huge fascination with the paranormal as a child, probably due to my Nana telling me all her ghost stories. Even to this day I'm always intrigued by ghostly tales and I am a firm believer in the paranormal. Of course, there's a disadvantage to that - I become paranoid I'm being haunted after seeing a ghost movie (aka. Paranormal Activity) for months on end. The Goosebumps collection was fantastic, my favourite story was 'Phantom of the Auditorium' from Collection 9. It terrified me! So it was great :D.
My other favourite book is (another feckin cliché...) is Twilight (the whole saga really, but you know what I mean). I read these books before they were ever famous, long, long, long before the movies were even heard of! And I just adore them. I don't care if half the planet's female population likes them too, to be honest. I adore all these books, probably due to again, my fascination with the paranormal. Vampires and Werewolves really play a big part in that you know haha! And If you's are wondering... I'm Team Edward. For life.
I have collected hundreds of books throughout my 17 years, including my Aunty's Marilyn Monroe books from the 80s, they were always lying around my Nana's house when I was a kid and I'd read them first out of curiosity and then I became obsessed with Monroe. Watching her films, reading all the books, having pictures of her everywhere... and Audrey Hepburn! My Mum and Aunty were mad about Monroe, my Nana was mad about Hepburn and Coco Chanel and used to always quote them!
I was a strange child, in the sense when I was given money to 'go buy some sweets', I'd walk out of the shop with stationary and wait for it... dog encyclopedias. I have always been an animal lover and I had 2 dogs as a kid, so I used to spend my money on dog books. Haha.
This has gone on longer than I thought, so I'll end it here and show you my photos!

title: Music and Lyrics
release date: February 2007
genre: romantic comedy
cast: Hugh Grant, Drew Barrymore
rated: 4 1/2 out of 5

Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) is an 80's pop star who now lives off residuals from his former pop stardom and performs at theme parks and high school reunions.
Alex jumps at the chance to write and record a hit song with teen idol Cora Corman (think Britney Spears). Alex is good with melodies but isn't that great at writing lyrics. Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) is filling in for a friend who waters Alex's plants. Alex finds out that Sophie has a natural talent for writing lyrics. The two begin writing the song for Alex and Cora's duet.
I randomly watched Music and Lyrics one Sunday morning when I was in the mood for a nice chic-flick. I'm so glad I did! This movie had me laughing out loud throughout. It's got an interesting storyline and a great cast. I'm a fan of both Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore and wondered why I hadn't watched this film sooner. Definitely one for the permanent DVD collection. I highly recommend it if you're in the mood for a sweet and funny romantic comedy with some great music as well.
Here's the movie trailer:
Here's one of Alex's hit songs. This cracks me up. Pop! Goes My Heart. It's catchy :) I always get a kick out of seeing Hugh Grant dance.

This Weekly Geeks is about characters from books and how we can or cannot relate to them. I thought this was a very interesting topic. It's a great thing to read a book and be able to relate to the central character.
For this week's task, let's take a close look at some of our favorite bookish characters.
think of a character that you really relate to
I can relate to Anne Elliot from Jane Austen's Persuasion.
Anne is soft spoken and tends to take others advice a bit too much, but in the end, she begins to think for herself. I am shy by nature and I do have that side to my personality where I tend to second guess myself when others are giving me advice. Now as I'm older, I do realize this about myself and nip it in the bud as it's happening. But I could totally relate to Anne and how she was influenced in her younger years. I cheered for her when she became older and wiser and went for what made her happy instead of trying to please others.

share with us a favorite character that is the complete opposite of you
Anne Boleyn from Phillipa Gregory's The Other Boleyn Girl.
It stunned me to read about how conniving Anne was and the mean things she did and said to her own sister. It was Anne's selfishness and drive for power that helped land her on the chopping block.
I have a sister myself, and we are very close, so I could never imagine us treating each other like that.

tell us about a character that you wish you could be more like
I wish I could be more like Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind. I always liked Scarlett's drive and determination. Scarlett saved her family's plantation and became a successful business woman in a time where women were expected to stay home and raise children.
I don't agree with her stealing husbands and being cold hearted to get her way, but I do like that she always went for what she wanted and got it. Ironically, she had what she wanted all along, Rhett's love, but by the time she realized it, it was too late.

What about you? What bookish characters can you relate to or not?

You are my sonshine. ~Author Unknown
Happy Friday blog friends. Ahhhhh....my favorite day of the week :)
This weekend is extra special because my son turns 14 today. How time flies! It's unreal. I swear he was just in diapers.
As far as reading goes, I'm still being a slowpoke with finishing books but did manage to somehow add yet another book to the three that I am already currently reading. It's a really good book though and I am enjoying imagining those Scottish Highlands and attractive men running around in kilts. This book is an ARC.

To Conquer a Highlander
I'll be back on Monday with a movie review:

Music and Lyrics , which was really sweet and funny.
That's about it for now, enjoy your weekend.
I'll leave you with some more quotes. Some of these made me teary eyed, I really don't know why I do this to myself...lol.

When you teach your son, you teach your son's son. ~The Talmud
Son, you outgrew my lap, but never my heart. ~Author Unknown
