VISITING SENATORS TO AFGHANISTAN WERE TARGETED BY THE MILITARY TO BE “BRAINWASHED”
Look, I am not one of those who readily accepts conspiracy theories; but this latest report from Rolling Stone Magazine totally rattled my cage. To think that there is so much deviate thinking to justify growing a war that the military, at least some of them were willing to use brainwashing tactics on visiting dignitaries. Not only is that alarming and totally unacceptable; but to think that we would engage such crass practices to obtain a very dubious goal.
Michael Hastings reported this:
“Rolling Stone magazine reported online that Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV, the commander of the American mission to train Afghan security forces, put pressure on "psy-op" soldiers, in violation of federal law, "to target visiting senators and other VIPs," including Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) as well as Adm. Michael G. Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.”
It leaves me thinking as many in our country have that we don’t know what the hell we are doing in Afghanistan. It also makes me wonder if they have not been putting substances in the public water reservoirs to make people gullible and docile. Remember the fluoride conspiracy in the 50’s promoted by the John Birch Society?
I for one do not believe that crap any more than I would think that people are being dumb, uninformed and docile because something they are ingesting but I am putting into question the wisdom and intellectual capacity of a segment of the American public and also their capacity to even remember who their elected official’s names are.
