7 days until the season starts... The NFC East is usually the most competitive division in the NFL, this is how it will turn out this year...

4. Washington Redskins (2-14): No disrespect to any Redskins fans reading out there, but Washington looks like they will be awful in 2011. The franchise did not make a move for a QB in the draft or in free agency and are now stuck with journeymen QB's John Beck and Rex Grossman. Good thing Andrew Luck will be available in next years draft, because this team is on its way to having the #1 overall pick in the 2012 draft. One bright spot in the team might be RB Tim Hightower, who they got from Arizona, and has looked really good in the preseason. The defense has no noticeable names and lack an identity. Washington would be lucky to win more then two games in 2011.

3. New York Giants (9-7): QB Eli Manning had 25 interceptions in 2010 and it was the one thing that really kept the Giants from going to the playoffs. If he could improve just slightly with the turnovers, the Giants could be primed for a playoff berth, but the division seems to be to tough for them to win this season. The defense also has a lot of questions, especially with Osi Umenyiora and that pass rush. Jason Pierre-Paul will fill in for Umenyiora until he heals for injury. The secondary also suffered a huge hit this preseason when one of their best CB's went down in a preseason game against the Bears in week 2. The Giants have always been known to overcome injuries throughout their history, but with the injuries they have, I don't know if they could be a force in 2011.

2. Dallas Cowboys (10-6): The Cowboys had the most disappointing season then any other team did in 2010. We all know the story. Dallas and Jerry Jones hosted Super Bowl XLV and the Cowboys had big hopes to get there, but they failed. Some of it had to do with the horrible coaching of Wade Phillips, but QB Tony Romo did go down with a season ending injury in a Monday Night game against the Giants. Of course, the team was already 1-4. Its a new year in and I think the Cowboys will get back to the postseason in 2011. Even though I think Jason Garrett isn't the long term answer at coach for the Cowboys, he knows Tomo and I think he will get him back into form. Doing that shouldn't be so hard for Romo who have Jason Witten, Miles Austin, and Dez Bryant to throw to. The defense also got a great boost when they hired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. Like his brother Rex, Rob enjoys throwing exotic blitzes at the QB and it shouldn't be that difficult to get after the opposing signal caller with Demarcus Ware on your front seven.

1. Philadelphia Eagles (12-4): Dream Team. The Heat of the NFL. Obnoxious. Call them what you want to, but they are filled with talent. It all starts with Michael Vick, who might of had a impressive 2010 campaign, but only played in 12 games. If the Eagles don't want to be a one and done team like last season, Vick will have to stay healthy all 16 games. That leaves a huge responsibility on the offensive line and rookie guard Danny Watkins. The Eagles were the BIGGEST players in free agency and signed Vince Young to back-up Vick, but you can not rely on him to carry you to where Vick does. From Vick's offensive line to his weapons, Desean Jackson has out played his rookie contract and deserves more money (especially after the pain he caused the rival Giants last season). Jeremy Maclin and newly signed receiver Steve Smith should also provide to be nice weapons for #7. While the offense is talented, the defense is loaded. They got Dominque Rogers-Cromartie in the Kevin Kolb trade and then signed the free agent prize Nnamdi Asomugha. They now have the best trio of corners in the whole league with Asante Samuel, DRC, and Asomugha. If there is one weakness in this defense, its at linebacker. Don't let that fool you, the Eagles are now one of the best defenses in the league. As we know all to well, you win the games on the field, not on paper. However this team is gearing up for Super Bowl XLVI.
