It is their God given privilege
The Republican Teahadists firmly believe that through a divine decree they are entitled to have privileges nobody else outside of their chosen group is allowed to have.
Lest’s see, they believe that voting is a privilege while the majority of Americans believe it is a right. This is why the Republicans are initiating all kinds of measures at the state level to disenfranchise voters; making it more difficult for people to vote if not impossible.
Donna Brazile: “Across America, Republican lawmakers have talked a big game about cutting budgets, but they also are seeking reductions to something much more fundamental: Americans' voting rights. From coast to coast, the GOP is engaged in what appears to be a coordinated, expensive effort to block voters from the polls.
The motivation is political — a cynical effort to restrict voting by traditionally Democratic-leaning Americans. In more than 30 states, GOP legislators are on the move, from a sweeping rewrite of Florida's election laws to new rules for photo identification in Ohio, Wisconsin, North Carolina and more than 20 other states.
As a result, 11% of Americans —21 million citizens of voting age who lack proper photo identification — could be turned away on Election Day. And these people tend to be most highly concentrated among people of color, the poor, the young and the old.”
When it comes to wealth, the Republicans also believe that this is their God given right to monopolize…no other person or group is entitled to share in that wealth.
Most Republicans believe that same sex marriage should not be given because they believe that marriage is a privilege while most Americans now believe that same sex marriage is a question of equal rights.
To the rich and the corporations for a regular Joe to hold a job is considered by them to be a privilege and to the rest of us we believe it is our right to be able to work and make a living wage; to organize and assure that our rights are not trampled upon by greed.
About the only privilege the Republicans are willing to gladly surrender to the lower class is that of serving in our military…and it begs the question: Why are they willing to give up the privilege to serve America? Simply because the rich do not want to send their offspring to war and have them killed. If there are any deaths to be derived from their concept of foreign policy bullying it should come from the peasants.
It is not surprising then that the Republican-Teahadists have systematically rejected and thrown under the bus Blacks, Latinos, Gays, Labor Union members, Pro-choice women, the unemployed, seniors, the sick and disabled and all those who value this experiment called DEMOCRACY.
