Katka was a striking beauty with blond razor cut hair worn stylishly messy, hard cheek bones and lines, and a smile that said heaven and hell.

Eyes that said home.

An American living in Prague, Gavin, falls head over heels in love with a Czech Republic beauty named Katka. The two are a couple, but Katka's friend, Simona, has a 'great idea' for how they can make some good money. Mail order brides are a popular business in Europe. So Gavin reluctantly makes a deal with a wealthy American, for Katka. However, he plans to have her run off at the airport from her husband, once Gavin has the money. Things do not go as planned and Katka leaves to the States, and in a turn of events, Gavin finds out she is not a mail order bride after all.

I liked reading KATKA. It is an edgy book. Very interesting, great storyline and dialogue. I found a few passages that really stuck out. I like that, when the writer grabs my attention.

Like this one:

She blushed.

Then they kissed. The kind of kiss that moves mountains, creates dreams.

Writes a fairy tale.

Special thanks to Stephen Meier for sending me a copy of his wonderful novella to read and review.
