The Twist was a very different and unique book. Zane Tollison, owner of a consulting firm, gets a phone call at work one day from a man named Jonathon Chorde. Chorde owns a tobacco company called Clearwater Tobacco, he wants to hire Zane to test out his cigarrettes and prove that they do not have chemicals in them that make them addictive to the female population. Chorde offers Zane twelve million dollars to smoke a pack a day for a week. Sound too good to be true? It is.
Zane leaves his petty wife behind and goes off for the experiment. At the lab where he will be staying, he meets scientist Kathy Davis. Kathy has been hired to do tests on Clearwater Tobacco's product.
Kathy and Zane hit it right off, but soon enough, odd things begin to happen to Zane. Let's say a strange genetic change, due to his smoking the cigarettes.
Now, if I were Kathy, I would have been running in the opposite direction, away from Zane. lol. But Kathy is determined to help Zane, and soon enough the two discover a hidden agenda taking place.
I found The Twist to be a fun read. I recommend it to science fiction/romance fans.
Special thanks to Lee Silver for sending me a copy of her book to read :)
