Ryan Sanderson is the three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback for the Denver Mavericks football team. Susannah is Ryans soon to be ex-wife. Ryan has had a change of heart, he wants to win Susannah back, the two were married 10 years before splitting. They have been estranged for one year. So he shows up at their home, and tells her that all he wants is to spend ten days with her, then after that, he will sign the divorce papers and she is free to go. Susannah is engaged to her childhood friend Henry, who is pretty much the opposite of Ryan in every way. She reluctantly agrees to Ryans terms, and she allows him to stay at thier home. Ryan of course, has other plans in mind, and before you know it, he whisks Susannah away to his out of town cabin. Once there, he hopes he can sweep Susannah off her feet.

Susannah finds Ryan hard to resist. Can you blame her? He's gorgeous, funny and in love with her. He has been voted Sexiest Athlete Alive and he plays guitar! The two of them have great chemistry and clearly belong together. Meanwhile, Susannah's family is trying to convince her to keep away from Ryan. What's a girl to do?

He kissed her with a passion and thoroughness that took them both by surprise. She was startled to realize the almost chemical attraction they'd always had for each other had grown and intensified during thier long separation. His tongue tangled with hers, and the taste that was so uniquely his only fueled her desire for more. When she slid her hand into the back of his jeans, he moaned and tumbled down on top of her.

I enjoyed Line of Scrimmage from page one. It's funny, light-hearted and romantic. The characters and the storyline are well written. This was a quick and easy read, before I knew it, I had finished the book. This is my first time reading a sports related romance, and even though I'm not a football fan, it didn't matter, I still enjoyed this book. I recommend this one to any romance fan.

I am raffling off my gently used copy of Line of Scrimmage to one of my blog readers.
