This week's Mailbox Monday's is being hosted by Laura @ I’m Booking It.
Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
Here's my Mailbox Mondays:
Plenty of great books have made their way into my home recently. If only I could devote an entire month to reading, I wonder how many books I could finish?
This weekend I treated myself on a trip to Border's (the one near me is not closing) and picked up Jane Eyre and Shutter Island. I've been wanting to read Jane Eyre for a while and can't wait to get to it. I've seen Shutter Island and Mystic River and enjoyed both films. I've been wanting to read this author for quite a while also. Then of course, I found the cutest fuzzy yellow critter type pen near the checkout counter and couldn't resist.
These books arrived at my doorstep as review requests.
Alice in Zombieland by Nickolas Cook
Can Alice escape Zombieland before the Dead Red Queen catches up to her? You know I can't resist zombies.
Hybrid a medical thriller by Dr. Brian O'Grady. The author is actually a neurosurgeon.
Brian O’Grady follows in the tradition of Michael Crichton as a physician who brings his in-depth medical knowledge to his craft.
Attachments by Rainbow Rowell is an office romance. This one sounds sweet and quirky and I like the website.
When No One is Watching by Joe Hayes. When No One is Watching is both a page-turning thriller and a poignant tale of a man’s search for meaning and redemption in the face of cruel and overwhelming personal hardship.
I won Mr. Darcy's Secret by Jane Odiwe over @ Anna's blog. One dark secret can completely ruin a bright future…. I wonder what his secret is.
A Creed in Stone Creek by Linda Lael Miller is part of a blog tour set for March 24th. This is book one in this western romance series, I'm also going to be reviewing the following two books in this collection. I'm liking that cowboy on the cover, visit the website here for some eye candy.
Finally, my daughter has been suffering from Bieber fever for a while now...lol. I took her to see the film...in 3D....not too long ago. Yes, I had to sit through it. It actually wasn't that bad.
Mind you, Justin Bieber fever can strike at any time and will not go away any time soon. Her ringtone is 'One Less Lonely Girl'. Her bedroom is Bieber central, totally wallpapered in JB posters. At any given time she is wearing a JB t-shirt and or sweat shirt.
That's why we went to Border's this weekend in the first place, to grab this book for her. *sigh* When will Bieber fever end?...sorry now my post has turned into a Bieber rant.
She got the memoir type book and grabbed a fluffy pen as well. Why is the pen purple? Because it's JB's favorite color of course. *as I'm typing this she's on the phone with her best friend talking about Justin Bieber.*
That's my mailbox. What books have arrived at your doorstep recently?
