But if that is the worse insult you can hurl that brings you validation then do it, by all means.
You see, I am not as concerned about IT like you are on questions that I will never have answers for. The questions themselves are of such magnitude that even the questions can’t be asked let alone pretend to have the answers.
Granted, I admit to not having enough intellectual capacity to understand and know the origin of things, the immensity of the universe and whether there exists some other form of life or even if what we call soul survives the transition into dust we call death. But I am claiming ignorance here and so should you. Just because I can’t explain it or have the answers I am not going to go out and fabricate some far-fetched fairy tale which is even more unbelievable than what may or may not be the real answers.
Religions are fabricated, they are made up of outlandish personifications of a deity that is pure conjecture. So go ahead, conjure up some deity…whatever suits you and whatever makes you happy…if you opt to believe in green unicorns from Tasmania and feel happy worshiping them while hanging from a chandelier that is perfectly ok by me.
But I will not allow you to vilify me, to ridicule me, to humiliate me because I don’t believe in those green unicorns.
