You know the other eastern division isn't so bad either...
Premier Fantasy Players
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady- You can never go wrong with the best QB in the game on your roster, especially in fantasy football. While not a dynamic threat like Michael Vick, Brady doesn't make all the useless mistakes that hurt your fantasy team. On his way to the MVP award (probably in fantasy football to, if you had him) Brady threw 36 touchdowns and 4 interceptions, which turned into 371 points for your fantasy team. Brady is expected to have a decrease in his numbers by only scoring 347.56 points, but with a new WR in the lineup, Brady can defiantly beat those numbers. Knowing that guys like Aaron Rodgers, Michael Vick, and Drew Brees could be taken ahead of him, Brady could lead you to a league championship (don't expect him to slip past the third round though)..
New England Patriots WR Wes Welker- Yards after the catch. It is Welker's specialty and music to fantasy owners everywhere. Throughout his career with the Patriots, Welker has dominated that category and will continue to in 2011. Welker also says he feels 100% for the first time in years because he healing during last season after a knee injury. With that injury he scored 127.80 points and is supposed to improve with 139.40 points in 2911. I think he could do better. With a Hall of Fame QB and now Chad Ochocinco apart of the receiving core, Welker is due for a big year. In deep leagues you could be okay with him as a #1 WR, but you are better off making him a #3.
Jets Defense- Everyone loves Gang Green's defense, except the Patriots and Tom Brady. The best part about this defense is that they brought back Antonio Cromartie to compliment Darelle Revis for a second straight year, the two were probably the best CB combination in the league. Rex Ryan's bravado and play calling skill also make the Jets one of the most feared units in the league. If this defense does have a weakness its pass rush, the team lost long time vet Shaun Ellis. Still, when the defenses start flying off the board, you would be luck to get the Jets.
Others to consider- Jets RB Shonn Greene
Sleepers
New England Patriots WR Chad Ochocino- Nope. Still not used to seeing him in a Patriot uniform. Ochocinco has said that he will follow the "Patriot Way" and he has actually refrained from twitter and crazy stunts. If you want to laugh at that statement because you know its not going to last, go ahead, but I think Ocho will be a difference maker in fantasy football. For one he is not on the Bengals anymore and two, he will have a future Hall of Famer throwing him the football for the first time in his career. Ochocinco is projected to score 120.10 points this year and should not be used as no more then a #3 or #4 WR (depending on your leagues roster requirements).
New York Jets TE Dustin Keller- During Mark Sanchez's rookie season we saw him go to Keller a lot on boot plays and now that Sanchez has matured and is starting to make throws inside the pocket, Keller's fantasy stock has dropped. That doesn't mean Sanchez won't be going to him in 3rd downs or pressure situations. The TE is the safest target for QB's to throw to in those kind of situations. Keller only had 98 points last season and is expected to have 87 this season. Sanchez could be due for a breakout season which would make Keller a steal if you are able to get him. I wouldn't use him as my primary tight end though.
