Being a nice guy, willing to compromise will get us nowhere.
I hope that President Obama has been convinced that being Mr. Nice Guy is not going to pay off. I also hope that he realizes there is no compromise with these right-wing fanatics and just as Jimmy Carter was the nicest human being…he became a one term President.
I don’t know if the President realizes that it is not a matter of having people perceive him as the GREAT NEGOTIATIOR or as the polls show his popularity has not diminished…we don’t need him to prove that he is not a SOCIALIST or a PROGRESSIVE EVEN..What we need is our President to fight for us, to denounce them for what they are: TRAITORS…who want to establish a system of government and a different kind of society that isn’t what America is all about.
It will do us no good as a people to have a pragmatic, eloquent, reasonable and affable President if we lose this battle…our nation will not ever be the same if it survives the onslaught of Republican-Teahadist attacks on the middle class and the poor. It will certainly not be an America any of us would want to live in, including those very obstinate Teabaggers who don’t know beans about economics, history, geography, foreign policy and yes…even their own FUCKING ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
SO PLEASE MR. PRESIDENT, START FIGHTING, AND FIGHT THEM AS HARD AS YOU CAN
