There is a lot of talent down south...

Premier Fantasy Players
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees- He was the first player ever to overcome the Madden curse in the games history and will put up big numbers in fantasy football in 2011. The Saints did get rid of Reggie Bush, however, which may take a piece out of Brees' game. New Orleans did draft Mark Ingram and picked up Darren Sproles in free agency, so Brees' numbers shouldn't go down. Brees is coming off a 335.20 point season and is projected to get 367.58 points in 2011. It may be wise to stay away from the Saints WR's, because Brees spreads the ball to everyone on his team. Since he is apart of the "elite" group of QB's, he will be gone fast, so pray you have a high pick.

Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan- The QB battles between Ryan and Brees are always special to watch when the Falcons and Saints get together twice a year. Both also tear it up when it comes to fantasy football. The problem with the Falcons and Ryan last year was that they could not get any big passing plays down field and it showed in their playoff loss against the Packers. Trading up to get WR Julio Jones in this years draft will help improve Ryan to get the ball down field more often, which is great if you want to draft him. Ryan is actually supposed to take a step back when it come to projections, but don't worry, Jones and Roddy White will throw those projections into the garbage. If you decide to make him your #1 QB, make sure you have a talented set of RB's, because I don't think he can win a league for you.

Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White- Ever since the arrival of Matt Ryan, White has shacked the perception that he does not have good hands and has become one of the most dangerous WR's in fantasy football. The drafting of Julio Jones only boosted White's fantasy stock, now that he is not the only dangerous WR on the field. So don't listen to the projections, which say he will only score 175.20 points this, and draft this guy if you have the chance. White is the guy you want to carry your team at WR.

Sleepers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman- Those jerseys sure are ugly, but Freeman's game was anything but that in 2010. Freeman surprised everyone in fantasy football when he threw for 25 touchdowns (to six picks) and scored 308.44 points. With all that young talent around Freeman (Lagartte Blount and Mike Williams) he is due for another big season, which is clear in his projected 335.66 points. I'm not sure if Freeman can lead your fantasy team, but could make as a good #2 option if you have a #1 QB with injury risks (Mike Vick, Peyton Manning, etc.)

Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (R)- I talked about him taking attention off his teammate Roddy White, that doesn't mean he can't be a dominant fantasy weapon as well. There is a reason the Falcons traded up so far to get this guy, he is an absolute beast. Jones is expected to score 104.90 points, so don't expect him to be more then a #3 WR, unless you are in a deeper league.

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (R)- Roll tide. Oops. Sorry, Ingram is no longer apart of the Alabama Crimson Tide and now is apart of one of the most dangerous offenses in the NFL. Being apart of the Saints will only benefit Ingram as a rookie since QB Drew Brees will take a lot off pressure off of him with that passing game. Ingram will also be counted on as the starting RB to take pressure off of Brees and that passing game. Ingram's projected points, 139.20, means that he should not be used as anything more then a substitution RB. If he goes undrafted in your league, keep an eye on him and if he explodes, pick him off waivers before anyone else does.
