If you were like my fantasy league and got together only a couple weeks after the lockout ended to do your fantasy draft, this information could be useless to you. If this information helps you realize that you didn't pick somebody and want a re-draft, then I apologize to the commissioner of your league. Either way, I love fantasy football and here are the best players from the NFC North that you should pick.

Premier Fantasy Players
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers- Respect the belt, respect it! That is the signal that Rodgers is sending to the rest of the league. The defending Super Bowl MVP has the chance to be better then he did last year. Rodgers scored 360.48 points in 2010 and is projected to score 369.78 in 2011. What makes Rodgers such a great player is that he is one of the best scrambling QB's in the league. Getting Rodgers will be difficult. If you want him, you will have to choose between either a RB or him in the first round.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson- The fact that I got both Rodgers and Peterson on my team is a miracle, but I do only have three other teams in my league. You might not be so lucky. You better wish you were last place in your league last year, because I don't see this guy getting away from the #1 overall pick in any draft. Signing Donovan McNabb only boosted Peterson's stock now that he has a Pro Bowl QB with him  in the backfield and won't be facing as many eight man fronts if rookie Christain Ponder was at the helm. Peterson is also expected to do better then last year and is projected to get 295.60 points.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson- This is megatron. This is one of the best receiver's in the game. Despite the inconsistency at QB last season, Johnson scored 189.20 points last season. If franchise QB Matthew Stafford stays healthy, then Johnson can shatter his projected 200.50 points that he is expected to score in 2011. Most of my fantasy drafts go RB in the 1st round then QB in 2nd round, but Johnson is one of the best wideouts in the game and you might want to consider jumping on him if you have the chance (no I was not able to choose Johnson, my brother got him).

Green Bay Packers Defense- The offense alone didn't win the Packers the Super Bowl last season. Defensive juggernauts A.J. Hawk, Clay Matthews, and Charles Woodson help the Packers rank #1 among defenses in fantasy. They scored 210 points last year and even though they are supposed to score even less (191), they should be the first defense taken in your draft and every other draft.

Other players to consider: Packers WR Greg Jennings and TE Jermaichel Finley

Sleeper Picks:
Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford- If you choose a starting QB with injury risks like a Michael Vick or a Peyton Manning, then Stafford could be a good choice as a back-up. That is, if he can stay healthy all 16 games himself. In an injury plagued 2010, Stafford was a disappointment to those who picked him by being less then nothing in fantasy football. Stafford is projected to score 231.88 in 2011, which could probably be the most a Lions QB has ever scored in fantasy football. The Lions will go as far as Stafford and that could go the same for your fantasy team if you decide to pick him as a starter, but he would be better as a back-up in my opinion.

Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte- While not as dynamic as rival Adrian Peterson or Arian Foster, Forte could make for a great #2 or #3 back in bigger leagues. After scoring only 160 points in 2009, Forte had 213.60 points last season, blowing the tops off everyone's expectations for him when it came to fantasy football. Forte is projected to score 199 points this season and is an important part of the Bears offense under coordinator Mike Martz. You might remember that Martz had a guy called Marshall Faulk when he was the head coach of the greatest show on turf.
