For the third straight day, the players have failed to cast a vote on the new CBA that the owners already approved 31-0 on Thursday. In all fairness to the players, much of the language in the CBA was unknown to much of the player reps. NFL owners gave players until Tuesday to vote on the CBA and recertify as a union. The Hall of Fame game between the Bears and Rams has already been cancelled and the owners say that if a deal isn't reached by Wednesday, then more preseason games will be cancelled. As mentioned on this website yesterday, the players were supposed to vote today but instead they will take the weekend to look over the CBA and the vote will probably come Monday. That is just my guess, but there have been no official reports that this is true. To put it lightly, the owners upset the players, so hopefully each side could cool down and finish this thing Monday. Even though Roger Goodell said that the facilities would open Saturday, that has been put on hold due to the fact that the players haven't voted on the CBA. The ball is on the players side of the field and hopefully they will get this done.
