The Eagles have never won a Super Bowl in their history, but the 2011 version of the team definitely could pull it off. Philly traded Kevin Kolb last week to the Cardinals in return for Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie and a 2012 second round pick. The Eagles then signed free agent defensive linemen Jason Babin, who had a break out season in 2010. What surprised a lot of people was when the team signed free agent prize Nnamdi Asomugha. Now the team had a secondary of Asomugha, Cromartie, and Asante Samuel (expected to be traded). The final pieces of the "dream team" were Vince Young and Cullen Jenkings. Even though I said that everyone should wait to build up this team before they hit they field, the Eagles are now one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Many have called them the Heat of the NFL, which would mean one thing: everyone wants to beat you. Its like the Eagles are the defending Super Bowl champs, the target painted on these guys backs will be huge every Sunday.

Now to the team that is actually defending their Super Bowl Championship, the Packers. Last season Green Bay had the more players on injured reserve then any other team. In 2011 the Packers will get all those players back and will be a formidable opponent for everyone who faces them. The Packers will get the best version of their 16 opponents this season. It won't be a problem considering that the Packers are one of the most talented teams in the NFL. Sure they don't have as many big names as the Eagles, but QB Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy make it work. Even though the Eagles and Packers don't meet in the regular season, they will meet in the playoffs. Probably the NFC Championship Game. Even though the Packers are the Super Bowl Champions, many teams can grow to hate the "dream team" Eagles because of the talk that has started before the team hit the field.
