To put this lightly, I did not see this coming. I just got done writing about how the 49ers were stupid enough to let Nnadmi Asomugha go, now I bet they feel a little bit smarter. The Jets dropped out of the race right after the Niners did, making the Cowboys the clear favorites to land Asomugha. Oh no its a bird! The Eagles landed the best free agent by signing him to a five year deal. Now they have a lethal combination of Asante Samuel and Asomugha (don't forget DRC), making them one of the most feared defenses in the game. Remember, the team did sign free agent Jason Babin, which improved their front seven. The Eagles are no doubt gearing up for a Super Bowl and this move just makes it more likely that they get to Indy in 2012.
