The best free agent on the market is now down to two choices for a team to play for. Both are Super Bowl contenders, the Cowboys and the Jets. As for the 49ers, they have reportedly dropped out of the running for the Pro Bowl CB. I stated on this blog that Asomugha would end up in Dallas because Jerry Jones is willing to spend money and because they have one of the best defensive coordinators in the game in Rob Ryan. It seems like it will be brother against brother before the matchup between the Jets or Cowboys takes place week one. Dallas already needs help in the secondary and even if they lose him, Antonio Cromartie is always available. Once Asomugha chooses I will have the news here.
Update: The Jets have dropped out of the sweepstakes, according to NFL Network's Albert Breer.
