It seems that news has been getting better that a labor agreement will be reached by today. Even though there has been some "drama" with some players, it seems that an agreement will be hammered out and the league year could start Friday. The "drama" I am referencing is with Vincent Jackson and Logan Mankins. Not only are Jackson and Mankins two of the main plaintiffs in the Brady v. NFL case, but they also want their franchise tag removed to explore free agency or receive $10 million. These are one of the small issues left in the way of this lockout, and me or anybody else doesn't think it will hold up a deal. Still, it will be interesting how the Chargers and Patriots respond. There is also another lawsuit that includes retired players suing the NFL over a cover up with concussions. Again, this will not block a deal. Just ask Hall of Fame defensive end Carl Eller, who thinks an agreement will come this week. As fans we hope that. Its time to get a deal done. If it does happen, come over here and check out the details of the new CBA (if it is released of course).
