I'm sure all of you have followed the labor situation closely and you know that the players and owners have made more progress then they have in the past two years. Thursday seemed like the end of the lockout when the owners voted 31-0 in approval of the new CBA, but the players had other plans. They were so upset at Roger Goodell's press conference and the owners celebrating attitude, that they did not vote on a deal. After the players passed on a vote again on Friday, they decided to take the weekend to review the owners proposal. Saturday brought another day of significant progress between the players and the owners. The owners had a conference call to review the remaining speed bumps while the plaintiffs in the Brady v. NFL case dropped their demands. The players are also scheduled to meet Monday for a possible vote. This progress is apparently enough for some sources to guess that the league year could begin Wednesday and training camp will begin Friday. Well I am done guessing, I just want football. I don't care how much progress has been made until they get a deal done.
