As the QB shuffle is continuing, Vince Young has been a second thought to teams in need of a signal caller. The Vikings, who are getting over #4, just traded two sixth round picks to the Redskins for Donovan McNabb (total steal by the way). After losing Matt Hasselbeck to the Titans, Seattle signed free agent QB Tavaris Jackson. As for the Dolphins, who seemed to me Young's best opportunity to start, seem to be set on trading Kyle Orton. Now with all of these teams out of the mix for a starting QB, Young might have to be a back-up next season rather then a starter. I feel that if the Panthers want to move in the same direction as the Vikings and Titans, then they might want to bring in Young to start for a season or two and maybe mentor rookie Cam Newton. Then again, Young isn't exactly the best role model. The 49ers might be in need of a good QB, but it is unlikely they go in that direction since they have agreed to a one year $5 million deal with Alex Smith. Its not crazy though, Young could be some good competition for Smith and since David Carr will be released and Troy Smith is a free agent, the team only has two QB's on the roster. Another NFC West team with two QB's is Seattle. Even though the team did sign Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst will be creating competition in camp, I don't think either of those guys will lead you to many victories, so trading for Young wouldn't be surprising. Probably the most likely place Young will go to is Cincinnati. They are fresh off their starting QB retiring and the best QB on the roster is a rookie. Young could provide an explosive duo with rookie WR A.J. Green and would not be in high demand to win right away. Winning wouldn't hurt though, as Marvin Lewis has one of the hottest seats in the NFL. Young is no doubt one of the best talents in the game, but he might be a handful for some coaches to handle which could lower his price tag. Teams can start cutting players tomorrow and if no teams show interest, don't be surprised if he is just released. Where do you guys think that Young will land? Tell me in the comment section below.
