The Eagles have one of the best QB's in the game. They have one of the best WR's in the game. Now, they have one of the best secondaries in the game. After trading back-up Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals, Philly received a second round pick and CB Dominque Rodgers-Cromartie. Then out of nowhere, the Eagles landed the biggest prize that was available, CB Nnamdi Asomugha. The Eagles now have a secondary that includes Cromartie, Asomugha, and Asante Samuel. It is believed that the Eagles will trade Samuel away for cap space, but no team has showed interest yet. With the signing of Asomugha and Chris Carr, the CB market is thin, and the Eagles phones will be ringing off the hook. As for the Eagles front seven, they recently signed DE's Jason Babin and Cullin Jenkins to go along with Trent Cole. I know Eagles fans are saying Super Bowl, but hold on with your predictions and lets see this thing work on the field. The Eagles still need to get their best weapon into training camp and that could come at a high price which could lead them to trade Samuel. Philly also signed Vince Young to a one year deal to be Michael Vick's back-up, which is a good move considering Vick might not be healthy for all 16 games next season. The Eagles are a scary team with Asomugha and all their other new players, but can they make it work on the field. I know Andy Reid is one of the best coaches in the NFL, but what happens if Philadelphia fails to reach Super Bowl XLVI? Who will be the one person to blame? You know the answer and I know the answer, it will be the head coach. I think the Eagles are favorites to win the NFC East and de-throne the Packers in the NFC, but lets wait until the regular season to crown Philadelphia as a dream team. Die Hard football fans know that the greater the expectations, the greater the fall. Just look at the Cowboys last season. They had one of the best QB's in the game and dreams of hosting their own Super Bowl, but they crumbled under the pressure. I'm not saying that will happen to the Eagles, but lets lighten up on the predictions.
